On Sunday morning, Curaçao officially welcomed the start of a new parliamentary term with the swearing-in of 21 newly elected Members of Parliament and the appointment of new parliamentary leadership for the 2025–2029 period.
The formal ceremony took place at the Governor’s Palace in the presence of Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout, Governor of Curaçao. With this official act, the final legal step was completed, allowing the new members to begin their duties as parliamentarians.

Gilmar Pisas, Javier Silvania, Charetti America-Francisca, Sithree Heydoorn, Shalten Hato, David Seferina, Fergino Brownbill, Juniël Carolina, Ramón Yung, Maria Nita, Rigoletto Thode, Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia, Ornelio Martina, Ruisandro Cijntje, Sheldry Osepa, Susanne Camelia-Römer, Quincy Girigorie, and Shaheen Elhage.

At 10:00 AM, the first public session of the new Parliament was held at the Parliament Building on Wilhelminaplein. During this inaugural meeting, the Parliament elected Fergino Brownbill as its new President and Ramón Yung as the new Vice-President.
