Silvania has responded to the questions of NOS correspondent Dick Drayer, also a journalist for the website Curaçao.nu. Drayer paid attention to the lawsuit between colleague Nardy Cramm and master licensee Cyberluck in Curaçao. The lawsuit asked for the permit, but a valid version did not surface. In his article, Drayer wrote that there was reason to believe that Cyberluck Curaçao does not have a master license and therefore operates illegally.

Drayer also inquired about the status of Telecommunication Information Services Sustems N.V. (TISS) as a master licensee. Minister Silvania implicitly indicated with his overview of the five master licensees that that company does not currently have a license because it was not mentioned among the five active licensees.

The system with master licensees in Curaçao will probably expire next year. A new law, the National Decree on Games of Chance, must be introduced in 2023. Under this new law, online casinos apply for their license directly from the Curaçao government instead of private companies. The Curaçao Gambling Authority, the successor to what is now called the Curaçao Gambling Control Board, will supervise the gambling sites.
