WILLEMSTAD
– The weather warning code yellow, which the Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo) issued on Wednesday evening, has been extended until 18:30 on Thursday evening.
The tropical wave 91L will cross the ABC islands on Thursday and Friday. The Meteo warns of heavy rainfall that can lead to local flooding, thunderstorms, heavy wind gusts and high waves on the south and west coasts.
The weather service advises to avoid using electrical equipment during a thunderstorm and to remove plugs from the socket. Driving on flooded roads, boating and swimming is also strongly discouraged.
